When Art + Science owner and founder Kelly Davis launched the hair salon in 2019, she did so with a focus on developing new talent and providing an atmosphere where hair stylists could thrive creatively. Together, the Art + Science team has learned from some of the top names in the industry, including Salt Society, Tracey Cunningham, Beth Minardi, and the professionals at Nine Zero One in Los Angeles. After decades of extensive training and experience, our hair stylists have developed a unique menu full of innovative techniques and salon services meant to give you a red carpet-worthy look.

Leslie Edwards

Owner

Leslie, who has been in the industry for 26 years, has had intense color training in New York and Miami. She specializes in natural lived-in blondes and adding fullness and length through the art of hair  extension  services. With Leslie’s unique gift for attention to detail with an artistic flair, strong relationships and long friendships are the driving force behind her success as a hairstylist.

Hayley Shumate

Lead Stylist

Hayley, who has been working in the beauty industry for four years, is a certified make-up artist with three years of experience working at Sephora. She also specializes in coloring  services such as blending with  balayage  or highlights. Hayley is someone who gives 100% of herself every day for her clients – every day is different and she enjoys meeting new people and ensuring they leave the hair salon feeling confident. One thing Hayley loves about this industry is that it's constantly changing and there is always room to improve.

Alyssa Montes

Lead Stylist

I started out as an assistant at Art + Science while she was in cosmetology school. I graduated from Caldwell Community college in March of 2022. I really enjoy doing color services, and want to specialize in lived-in-blondes. I love getting to meet new people and I enjoy giving people the confidence that they need with their new hair. I am constantly learning new things and growing as a stylist.

Stylist

I’ve been part of the salon team for 4 years, and I love creating lived-in, effortless styles that help my clients feel confident and comfortable. I work a lot with blondes, brunettes, extensions, and Brazilian Blowouts. I’m all about healthy, beautiful hair and making sure you leave feeling refreshed and loving your look—whether that means adding some brightness, smoothing things out, or giving your hair a little extra length and volume.

I graduated from the Aveda institute and have been behind the chair for 8years.  My favorite things are pixie haircuts and creating beautiful natural blondes as well as brow waxing.  Outside of work I enjoy being outside with my kids and family.
