Our partnership with Green Circle Salons started in April of 2023. Green Circle Salons is a recycling and repurposing program that helps to reuse hard-to-recycle salon items and divert up to 95% of the waste produced in a salon environment. This even includes hair, which they use to create “hair booms” to soak up oil spills. Leftover color and developer can be converted into new sources of energy instead of just being rinsed down the drain to enter waterways. Color tubes and foils, as well as aerosol spray cans, are not currently able to be recycled by regular programs and end up in landfills- but they can be used to make new metal. By supporting our salon, our clients have the peace of mind knowing that they are taking meaningful steps to keeping our communities and environment healthy. Reducing our carbon footprint and having a great hair day all rolled into one!

All hair clippings, any excess color, papers and plastics, foils, aerosol cans and color tubes from Art + Science will be collected by Green Circle Salons- effectively cutting down our salon’s total waste by 85-95%
